Pecos Bill's special tribute to "The Anaheim Ducks. Disney bought this as an NHL Expansion Club back in 1993, and named the
team after it's hit motion picture on peewee hockey, The Mighty Ducks. Under Disney's leadership,
the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim made the post season three times, and in 2003, the team won the Western Conference Title. From
The Mighty Ducks Movie , came to hit sequels.
Dr. Henry and Susan Samueli purchased The Mighty Ducks from Disney in 2005. Later, the Samueli's
renamed the team "The Anaheim Ducks." Unlike Arte Moreno, owner of The Angels Basaeball Team, Henry and Susan maintained
"Anaheim" as its Geographic Moniker. The Team began to operate under its "Anaheim Ducks," instead of the "Mighty Ducks
of Anaheim" in the 2006-07 Season. The Anaheim Ducks were the first NHL Team to bring Lord Stanley's Cup to California in
2007.
