OCT. 2, 1992: Disney release its hit movie about Peewee Hockey--"The Mighty Ducks."
DEC. 1992: Disney purchased an new Expansion NHL Team, and later named the "The Mighty Ducks
of Anaheim," after their hit movie.
MARCH 1993: Tony Tavares was appointed President of Anaheim Sports.
OCT. 19, 1993: Terry Yake becomes the first Mighty Ducks Player to score a hattrick (against
the New York Rangers).
MARCH 25, 1994: Disney's Mighty Ducks Sequel, "D2" is released.
JAN. 18, 1995: The Anaheim Mighty Ducks signed Steve Rucchin which completed the Mighty Ducks
Famous "Firing Squad: (Paul Kariya, Teemu Selanne, and Steve Rucchin)."
OCT. 4, 1996: Disney's second and last Mighty Ducks Sequel, "D3" is released.
SPRING 1997: The Might Ducks made it to their first NHL Play off's, where they defeat Phoenix
in the Quarter Finals, and lose to Detroit in the Semi Finals. The Detroit Red Wings go on to take the Stanley Cup.
SPRING 2003: The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim were Western Conference Champions.
WINTER 2005: Dr. Henry and Susan Samueli purchase The Mighty Ducks from The Disney Corporation.
FALL 2005: The Samueli's are listed amoung the Top 100 most influencial people in Orange
County History, a list that dates back to the Days of Father Junipero Serra in the Eighteenth Century.
WINTER 2006: The team is renamed from The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim to The Anaheim Ducks.
APRIL 10th, 2006: After defeating The Vancouver Canucks, The Ducks clinch their first NHL
Post Season since being Western Conference Champions in 2003.

MAY 3rd, 2006: In the first round of the 2006 NHL Play-offs; Anaheim defeated The Calgary
Flames 4 games to 3.
