1974 SEASON: Don Woods was awarded the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award.

 

1980 SEASON: The Chargers won the Divisional Play-offs against The Buffalo Bills, but lost the Conference Finals to the Oakland Raiders.

 

1981 SEASON: San Diego won the Divisional Play-offs for the second straight year (this time against the Miami Dolphins).

 

1982 SEASON: The Chargers defeated The Steelers in the first round of the NFL Play-offs. Don Fouts was voted the NFL MVP.

 

1986 SEASON: Leslie O'Neal was voted the Defensive Rookie of the Year.

 

1994 SEASON: The San Diego Chargers made its only Super Bowl Appearence, but lost to the San Francisco 49er's by a score of 49 to 26.

 

2004 SEASON: Two Major Awards were awarded to The Chargers: 1) to Drew Brees for Comeback Player of the Year and 2) Marty Schottenheimer for NFL Coach of the Year.

 

2005 SEASON: Shawn Merriman was voted Defensive Rookie of the Year.

 

2006 SEASON: LaDanian Tomlinson was voted the NFL's Most Valuable Player, and Offensive Player of the Year.

 

2007 SEASON: The Team won the Wild Card Play-offs 17 to 6 against The Titans and went on to win the Divisional Play offs against The Colts. Sand Diego lst the Conference Finals to the New England Patriots. 

 

2008 SEASON: The Chargers defeated The Colts (in Overtime) in the Wild Card Play-offs, but this time they lost the Divisional to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

 

2011 SEASON: After The Chargers had a very slow start, they started to come alive towards te second half of the season, but the team didn't quite make it to the NFL Post Season.
